Teagasc
Teagasc, the Agriculture and Food Development Authority – is the Irish national body providing integrated research, advisory and training services to the agriculture and food industry and rural communities. The Teagasc residues laboratories at Ashtown, Dublin 15 are an EU National Reference Laboratory responsible for veterinary drugs, feed additives and pesticides in foods. The laboratory is equipped with a range of state of the art instrumentation for chemical analysis including seven LC-MS/MS systems, ICP-MS and Ion chromatography.
The laboratory also carries out extensive research to enhance the safety and quality of Irish foods including research on disinfectant agents, minerals and vitamins. The laboratory has participated on a number of research projects through the years including focusing on mycotoxins including two recent projects on silage and cereals.
Project roles
Teagasc will take place on the collaborative research on the analysis of mycotoxins. They will also lead WP2, being in charge for the web and the results catalogue.
