EFA-DEPO

EFA-DEPO, the Estación Fitopatolóxica Areeirowas founded in 1980 by the Diputación of Pontevedra (Pontevedra provincial government) It provides integrated research and advisory services to agricultural, ornamental, forestry and food industries.  The group of the EFA section of molecular biology that will take part in the Project has expertise on the isolation and identification of fungal plant pathogens.

The laboratory is equipped with instrumentation for morphological and molecular studies on plant pests, including an automatic nucleic acid purification platform, genetic analyzers, and real time PCR thermal cycles.

Project role

EFA-DEPO will take place on the collaborative research on the identification of fungal mycotoxin products through the morphological characterization and molecular and phylogenetic analysis of the mycotoxin-producing fungi (WP4 and WP5).
